Corporate Social Responsibility

RBM believes in social responsibility. Therefore, we are involved in a number of projects. Most of these have to do with construction, because that’s what we know about.

RBM rolls up its sleeves

RBM’s “do day.”

Children’s farm Otterspoor in Maarssen we helped all our colleagues do all kinds of odd jobs. The petting zoo runs entirely on volunteers, and accumulation of jobs ranging from large to small maintenance issues piled up.In the context of “team building” of the colleagues of RBM and in addition to support a great initiative made that everything came together nicely. Together we all rolled up our sleeves. We built a new pig enclosure in the pasture placed, birdhouses were made/painted and nameplates were made. The old pig pen was also completely covered with wire mesh and the chicken coops were given a protective coat of stain. In addition, 4 duck houses were built and placed at the water’s edge for the ducks. The petting zoo was very happy to offer all visitors and also the farm animals a cozy and beautiful home.

RBM as a sponsor at SHIB

One of our employees, Koen de Mare, is joining us on a project trip to spend the summer months working with other young people on a construction project in South Africa. SHIB organizes project trips to South Africa and helps build schools, crèches or relief center, among other things.
Koen will help build a creche. Through pictures, he is going to keep us informed of the work and the final result.

Day Mexico: adios!

Mexico

The HomePlan Foundation makes prefabricated houses on site in Latin America and southern Africa, which volunteers assemble. That appeals to us. Hands off, and knowing exactly where your time and money are going. RBM therefore travels to Mexico City every year with about twenty colleagues, where twenty houses are erected in the slums on the outskirts of the metropolis in three days each time. On site, the families who will live in the houses help. This is also how we know exactly who we are building for.

Uma Sari

Uma Sari Foundation realizes accommodation for volunteers in Tianyar in Bali, Indonesia. Tianyar is remote in the north of the island. Volunteers can find little or no housing there, so they tend to go to other locations. However, volunteer help is desperately needed in the care and guidance of Tianyar’s orphaned and otherwise underprivileged children. Uma Sari aims to increase the flow of volunteers to the village. RBM is happy to contribute to the accommodation.
